When we got asked to do a shoot with garage junk-rockers, The Sweet Ones, we leapt at the chance. But just before our session, front-man Doug Cote injured his finger (we didn’t ask how) and unfortunately had to cancel the shoot.
Dejected but not to be beaten, Doug emailed us to rearrange at the first opportunity; “My band The Sweet Ones was gonna shoot a segment with you guys, but I got hurt <messed up my finger>. It has now healed and I was wondering if you guys still wanted to shoot something. I have a really cool location and already, and I got the approval to shoot. It’s at this rad little skate shop called Reciprocal on 11th st btw 1 st and A”.
We were there before you could say New York City. Pinball tables cluttered the room whilst skateboards lined the walls. In true Secret Sound Shop spirit, the owner left his shop open and invited anyone in who wandered past.
So here we have it, our super energetic #28 (with no sore fingers in sight). Give us your best yell.
