What happens when Mark Ronson and Brooklyn based indie/dance pop band AVAN LAVA are combined? You get an awesome cover that is stupendously balanced mixture of heart pounding beats and billowing vocals perfect for a Saturday night (disco) dance party.
For the opening of the W Hotel Singapore, the native club band covered Ronson’s “Somebody to Love Me” with the producer himself later taking to the turntables. While they are currently working on their full-length album, AVAN LAVA put out Flex Fantasy, an EP their released earlier this year. You can listen to “Somebody to Love Me” right here, but forgive us for the non-stop dance party you’re about to have.
If you want even more of AVAN LAVA, they’re coming to the Brooklyn Museum on December 1st so don’t miss out!
