Tamsin Holleran

Tamsin grew up in an English town that goes by the name of Macclesfield; it’s the same town that Joy Division were from and that’s the way she likes it. New York beckoned, as it has a tendency to do and a relocation was inevitable. She now spends all of her time thinking about music, writing about music and dreaming up ways to get Incubus to do a session for her beloved creation; Secret Sound Shop.

Hollie is a music photographer and writer extraordinaire and co-founded Secret Sound Shop with an enthusiasm usually reserved for toddlers on Christmas morning. The best day of her life came when the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl for the fourth time. You’ll find her with a blackberry always in hand and she runs the battery down on that thing like it’s going out of fashion. If you have a plug socket, she will probably need to use it. Oh, and this cheesehead has an eerie determination to one day wed Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend.

Katia is a runner at The Whitehouse Post by day and an editor by night. She graduated in 2010 from Savannah College of Art and Design with a focus in film editing. Her goal is to become a feature film editor one day and to stay loyal to the Secret Sound Shop as long as music is being made. One of these days she’d like to learn an instrument herself, but for now she’s enjoying living in Brooklyn with other Secret Sound Shop talent, Greg Radcliffe and their cat Rockwell.

Greg arose from the heartland of Ohio in the town West Chester. He is a visual effects artist with a focus on compositing. In 2010, he finished his B.F.A in Visual Effects from Savannah College of Art and Design. This Buckeye gave up his truck for the subways of Brooklyn and is enjoying every moment of it. One interesting fact is he hopes 1998 version of Matthew Lillard would play him in his autobiographical movie.

Editor (Video)
Shawn’s combined interest in media, music, and galavanting around NYC makes Secret Sound Shop his perfect three-some. When not writing, editing, or shooting for SSS, you can too often find him at his BBC day job (which is actually a night job). And when not behind a computer or listening to music, he’s playing music himself (guitarist/vocalist), running, hiking, tossing a disc, or enjoying whatever life has to offer.

Brennan Kelley

Brennan began in 1988. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design receiving his B.F.A. in Film and Television. Originally from Maryland, Brennan now lives in Brooklyn, New York where he works as a freelance cinematographer. He enjoys collaborating with talented people on a variety of projects including several short films, music videos, documentaries, and open-air concerts for Secret Sound Shop.

Francesca is a writer and photographer. Born in Mexico City she now lives in New York where she goes to the Fashion Institute of Technology. Fran currently collaborates with Secret Sound Shop, W27 and ICON; she also keeps her fingers crossed to one day work for Vice. Obsessed with music and outer space she spends most of her free time either at concerts, listening to music or trying to get involved with people who are desperate for creative expression. Some people call her Coco.

Chandra Johnson
Writer
Chandra Johnson is in her third year at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Studying Advertising, Marketing and Communications, she has a deep infatuation with Anthony Green and can’t deny she loves head banging. Though not musical herself, learning to play the drums is on her bucket list. A self-proclaimed old soul, she hopes to fill the void that’s sometimes within us with music.
